We are specialists in medical-surgical dermatology and venereology
Did you know that the skin is the largest organ of our body? Yet, we don’t always give it the attention it deserves—and that directly impacts the way it looks over the years.
Trust only specialists with your skin’s care. We’ll focus on evaluating and treating your overall skin health, and you’ll see the results both in well-being and in appearance.
Removal of All Types of Skin Lesions with Advanced Dermatological Surgery
As specialists in dermatological surgery—both facial and body—we can remove any malignant or premalignant lesion and prevent its progression to carcinoma. In addition, we treat and eliminate all kinds of benign lesions, which, while not dangerous, can be quite bothersome.
SKIN TUMOR
Most develop as a consequence of excessive sun exposure, and are characterized by an uncontrolled growth of skin cells, resulting in benign or malignant tumors.
Melasma
Characterized by brown patches on the cheeks, upper lip, and forehead due to uncontrolled sun exposure. A hormonal component may also be present.
KERATOSIS
When the outer layer of skin grows abnormally, it forms a harder, rougher patch that often changes color. Keratosis can be: Actinic, originating from prolonged sun exposure. Seborrheic, benign tumors common in people over 40. Pilaris, small red “bumps” that can be mistaken for acne
Moles (intradermal nevi)
Birthmarks with a slight protrusion located on the most superficial layer of the skin.
Fibroids
Benign, small brown lumps that typically appear in skin folds—such as the underarms, nape of the neck, inner thighs, or eyelids.
WARTS
Contagious lesions that should be examined as soon as possible to prevent progression and spread to others.
Hemangioma
Also known as angiomas, these benign vascular lesions often appear in children and are typically found on the face, chest, back, or scalp.

The importance of prevention
Digital dermoscopy technology for early diagnosis
Digital dermoscopy stands out as the most efficient technology for the early detection of significant skin conditions, enabling exhaustive monitoring of the various lesions that may affect the dermis.
At the García-Legaz Dermatological Institute, we always remind our patients to undergo annual check-ups—especially if they have moles or a family history of skin disease. This allows us to address any issues more effectively and achieve the best possible outcome.
The most common skin conditions in our practice
We treat the skin's most frequent problems
Less serious—but still uncomfortable—skin issues also matter to us, because we know they’re of great importance to many of our patients.
A skin disease that primarily affects adolescents but can also appear in adults. It occurs when hair follicles on the face, chest, back, or arms become clogged. Blackheads, whiteheads, and pustules can lead to self-esteem issues and permanent marks on the skin.
Manifests as persistent redness on the facial skin, which can worsen over time and become permanent without proper treatment.
Characterized by eczema, itching, redness, dryness, and flaking. This chronic condition flares up and subsides throughout the year (often worsening in colder months).
Marked by scaly patches on the scalp or other body areas. When diagnosed early, treatment can often halt disease progression and significantly improve patient quality of life.
Red welts that cause itching and are usually the result of allergic reactions to foods or medications, triggering the release of chemicals that lead to skin inflammation.
As with any other part of the body, the skin can become infected. These infections arise from the activity of various germs and present a wide array of symptoms. In most cases, they require specific medical treatments.
Certain STIs affect the skin directly or indirectly. For example, syphilis can damage not only the dermis but also the genitals and mucous membranes.
Internal imbalances that often affect the body don’t spare the skin. Nails and hair are also susceptible to changes—and dermatologists are here to treat them as well.
