They are most common in areas such as the trunk and jaw.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Keloid<\/em>s: grow <strong>beyond the injury<\/strong>, forming firm, raised masses that <strong>continue to expand<\/strong>, which <strong>makes its treatment difficult<\/strong>They are more common in people with dark skin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"rtoc-6\"  class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pigmented scars<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>pigmented scars<\/strong>, although they are not scars per se, they are <strong>areas of hyperpigmentation<\/strong> which can last for months after acne resolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is usually due to a <em>post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation<\/em>, that is to say<strong>,<\/strong> <strong>dark spots<\/strong> due to excess melanin after inflammation.
